MLT 201: HUMAN BIOLOGY – ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY

Objectives: the course focuses on the study of the gross and fine structures, development and functions of human organ systems.

Course Content: the gross anatomy (studied by unaided sight and touch), histology (structures revealed under light microscope), Ultra structure (structure revealed under electron microscope) and developmental anatomy (tracing development from the fertilized ovum to adult state) of the different systems of the body considered in sequences will be studied in detail. It will also feature the normal functions (physiology) of the locomotor, cardiovascular, nervous, endocrine, digestive as well as the respiratory, urinogenital systems and the skin.
