STATEMENT OF TEACHING INTERESTS

As a teacher, my main goal is for my students to be successful not only on the subject matter but also on the challenges awaiting them in their future careers.
To arrive at this goal, I do my best as a teacher to provide my students with the quality resources required for a successful completion of the course and direct application in their future professional life by:
- Providing quality lectures in a professionally orientated environment as the classroom, practical labs, pharmaceutical research Institute and a hospital environment.
- Combining modern technology and traditional methods of teaching to provide animated lectures to students in simulating a real life situation.
- Using collaboration with professionals in related fields (e.g. medical doctors in the hospital and pharmacists and research professors in the school of Pharmacy and other departments) to provide professional advice to the students.
- Encouraging students to boast their moral, psychological and intellectuals capabilities without striving only for a good grade but for the mastering of the subject matter and its daily applications.
- Breaking down the Teacher/Student barrier so that students can feel free to seek advice and assistance from me on anything that can be useful for their progress.
- Personally following-up the students progress by striving to know them personally in order to understand their moral and psychological need and encouraging attendance, active participation in class and doing their assignments in time.
- Making the students understand that not everyone is equal and that having a lower or higher grade does not necessary imply a success or failure in future life but what counts more is the knowledge gained today which will be vital for the students in the field. I believe that this idea sometimes help students to concentrate to learn in order to master the subject matter rather than only striving for a good grade.
- Facilitating and re-enforcing the understanding of students through tutorials and revision exercises as well as spelling out the learning objectives for student before each lesson. I believe that this combined method make students test their understanding ability and know how far they’ve attained the learning goals.
Teaching for me is not only a profession but a passion. Living to see my students succeed in professional life is my greatest reward. I have taught student ranging from kids in elementary school through pupils in higher school to undergraduate and graduate students in the University. Not only have I been very happy with my students, the students have always been very satisfied with my job and in most cases my impact have actually played a decisive role in orientating their careers.
