My research interest is on the physiological and pharmacological effects of Natural Products from tropical medicinal plants on tissues and Organ systems of  rat. Major emphasis are laid on the tracheal, ileal, vascular, uterine smooth muscles and the papillary muscles of the heart.

Broad Research Interests

·         Isolation and characterization of biologically active constituents from medicinal plants and other natural products.

·         Anti-inflammatory studies (5-lipoxygenase and Cycloxygenase Inhibition) of  Natural products.

·         Cardiovascular effects (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibition) of Natural Products.
